Theresa Rosemarie Walters

Theresa Rosemarie Walters, age 88 of Wayne, NJ, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family on Saturday, October 17, 2020. Tess was born in Haledon, NJ to Frank and Margaret Madonna Sgambelluri in 1932. Theresa married Thomas W. Walters II on April 12, 1953 and they moved to Wayne in 1969 with their family. Tess was a secretary in the Haledon Public Schools, a member of the Secretaries Association and a Cub Scout Leader. She was a parishioner at Our Lady of the Valley in Wayne. Tess is survived by her devoted husband of 67 years, Thomas W. Walters, II, her loving children, Margery Selfridge and her husband Robert, Thomas W. Walters III and his wife Pamela and James Walters, sister in law, Joyce Sgambelluri , five adored grandchildren, three cherished great grandchildren and nieces and nephews. Theresa was predeceased by her parents, Frank and Margaret Sgambelluri, in laws, Thomas and Helen Walters, brothers, Frank Sgambelluri and his wife Barbara and Joseph Sgambelluri. Visitation will be Wednesday, October 21, 2020 from 10:30am-12:00pm at the Morrison Funeral Home, 86 Bartholdi Ave, Butler, NJ. A funeral service will be offered Wednesday, October 21, 2020 at 12:00pm also at the funeral home. Burial will immediately follow at Laurel Grove Memorial Cemetery, Totowa, NJ. The new limits on indoor gatherings for facilities is 25% of the maximum amount of people in a building. Morrison Funeral Home will be able to accept 25 people at a time wearing masks and practice social distancing .
