Thomas Benton DeGraw, Sr., age 93, of Bloomingdale, died Thursday, December 4, 2014. Mr. DeGraw was born in Bloomingdale, N.J., the son of the late Joseph C. and the late Emma (Van Kirk) DeGraw. Thomas was a World War II Army Veteran, a life-time member of Post 152 and a former commander of VFW of Bloomingdale from 2000-2012 and served on the Bloomingdale Board of Health. He was a current member of the VFW of Wanaque, a member of the Bloomingdale Democratic Club and a member of the Knights of Columbus. Tom was a meat cutter for the Royal Economy and Grand Union of Bloomingdale and Butler, and a member of the Local 464A-Meat Cutters Union. He is survived his beloved children, Barbara McKerr-Moncer and husband Dale, Joan Marchese and husband Gary Sr., Thomas Jr. and wife Terry, and Bryan and wife Paulette, eleven cherished grandchildren, four adored great grandchildren, and his sisters, Vera Greve and Naomi Witty. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews. Thomas was pre-deceased by his devoted wife Florence. Visiting hours will be Sunday, December 7 th ,2014 from 2-4pm & 7-9pm at The Morrison Funeral Home, 86 Bartholdi Avenue, Butler, NJ. A funeral Mass will be Monday 10:00am at St. Anthony's RC Church, Butler, NJ. Burial will follow in Mt. Rest Cemetery, Butler, NJ.
