Thomas F Bickford

Thomas F. Bickford, born August 16, 1944, son of the late Helen and Harold Bickford, brother to Cal and Bill Bickford. Loving and devoted husband to Marjorie Bickford, and adoring father to Kevin Bickford and Tracy Meinel. Father in law to Kyle Bickford and Curt Meinel III. Loving Pop Pop to Curt Meinel IV and Matthew Meinel, Cole, Drew and Grant Bickford. Tom served 4 years in the United States Navy and was stationed in Pearl Harbor, Hawaii as a torpedo man. He was Assistant Scout Master for the Boy Scouts and was very active in the Bloomingdale United Methodist Church. He served as Trustee, sang in the choir for years, was a member of the Men's Club, and served the Lord any way that was asked of him. His favorite thing to do was to go camping with friends and family. One of his favorite trips was putting a check on his bucket list and traveling across the country in the camper, which ended up being an 11 week tour. Tom was a friend to anyone and everyone, he cherished his friendship with his childhood friends, Nick, Jerry and Bobby, and all the members of his church family. His infectious laugh, sense of humor, and kindness will be missed immensely by his family. Visitation will be held Tuesday, May 21, 2019 from 6-8pm at the Morrison Funeral Home, 86 Bartholdi Ave Butler, NJ. A funeral service will be held Wednesday, May 22, 2019, 10:30am at the Bloomingdale United Methodist Church, 65 Main Street Bloomingdale, NJ. Burial will immediately follow the service at George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus, NJ.
