Wanda V Carfagna

Wanda V. Carfagna, 97, of Butler, formerly of Flemington and Newark, passed away peacefully March 19, 2018. Mrs. Carfagna was the daughter of the late John and Julia (Szyganiec) Swider and the beloved wife of the late Joseph Carfagna. She was employed at Victory Electronics in Springfield, NJ before retiring as a homemaker. Wanda was a parishioner at St. Anthony's RC Church in Butler who was dedicated to the care and happiness of her family. Mrs. Carfagna is survived by her loving daughters, Joann Casale and husband Anthony, Joyce Van Zile and husband Michael and Janice Van Zile and late husband Gilbert; beloved siblings William Swider and Florence Pearce; adored grandchildren Lisa Casale, Anthony Casale, Scott Van Zile and wife Kelly, Kristin Mountain and husband Eric and Kyle Van Zile and fianc Jasmina; and five great grandchildren, Zack, Ty and Drew Mountain, Payton and Reagan Van Zile. Also surviving are many loving nieces and nephews. Wanda was predeceased by her six brothers, Milton, Edward, Edmond, Chester, Walter, and Frank Swider. Visitation will be Friday, March 23 from 4:00pm-8:00pm at The Morrison Funeral Home 86 Bartholdi Ave, Butler. A funeral mass will be offered on Saturday, March 24, 10:00am at St. Anthony's RC Church 65 Bartholdi Ave, Butler. Burial will immediately follow the mass at Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington, NJ.
