William A. West

WEST- William A., age 81, of West Milford, NJ, formerly of Prospect Park, entered into eternal rest Sunday, September 28th, 2008. Mr. West was born in Paterson,NJ, the son of the late William H. and the late Jemima (Bateman) West. He was a Navy Veteran of WWII, a former Police Officer and PAL founder in Prospect Park, NJ, former owner of Dutch Mill Flower Shop for 22 years in Butler, NJ, and worked as a florist for Glenwild Garden Center in Bloomingdale for 35 years. William is survived by his devoted wife of 53 years, Doris E. (McNeill), loving niece and nephew, Janet Schubert and husband Daniel, and James Mc Neill and wife Carroll, a loving brother in law Paul A. Bounds, and is also survived by many grand nieces, grand nephews, dear friends, and his beloved dog Charlie Bear. Viewing hours will be Wednesday, October 1, 2008, from 7:00-9:00 pm, & Thursday, October 2nd, 2008, from 2-4pm, & 7-9pm, at The Morrison Funeral Home, 86 Bartholdi Avenue, Butler, NJ. The funeral service will be Friday, 10:00 am also at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Laurel Grove Cemetery, Totowa,NJ.
