William Allan Shannon

William Allan Shannon, age 86, of Butler, died Monday, January 23, 2012. Mr. Shannon was born in Prospect Park, NJ, the son of the late William and the late Mary (Newby) Shannon. He was a Master Chief Aviation Electrician in the US Navy, a WW II veteran with his service spaning from 1942 to 1963 and enjoyed electronics as a hobby. He is survived by his beloved children,Virginia Shannon, Mark Shannon, Allan Shannon and Bryan Christopher Shannon, a loving brother, Robert Shannon, four cherished grandchildren and is also survived by nieces and nephews. William was pre deceased by his devoted wife Angela Rose (Mangani) and dear son William Allan Shannon Jr. Viewing hours will be Wednesday, January 25th, 2012, from 2-4pm and 7-9pm at The Morrison Funeral Home, 86 Bartholdi Ave., Butler, NJ. A funeral service will be held Thursday 10:00am also at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Laurel Grove Cemetery Totowa, NJ.
