William F. Spreen, age 85, of Kinnelon, NJ, died Tuesday, January 4th , 2011. He was born in Brooklyn, NY the son of the late Frederick W. and Anna (Donahue) Spreen. He served in the United States Navy during World War II, was a parishoner at Our Lady of Magnificat RC Church in Kinnelon, a member of he VFW George P. Siek Tri-Boro Post 8096 and was Superintendent of Schools in Bloomingdale for 15 years. He is survived by his devoted wife of 60 years. Margaret Mary (nee Schmucker), his beloved children Janice Irven and husband Michael, William S. Spreen and wife Lina, Kathleen Cimiluca and husband Mark, Mark E. Spreen and Kenneth Spreen and wife Sheryl, loving siblings, Robert Spreen, John Spreen, Margaret Kruger, Daniel Spreen, Fred Spreen and Joseph Spreen, fifteen cherished grandchildren, Jennifer, Jill, Stephanie, and Christine Irven, Alyson, Kelly, Will and Sean Spreen, Jaclyn and Matthew Cimiluca, Erin, Shannon and Lauren Spreen and Matthew Figliolino and Brad Spreen. William was predeceased by his siblings, Walter Spreen, Richard Spreen, Clair Scott, Ann Wood and Charles Spreen. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews. Viewing hours will be Friday, January 7th ,2011, from 2:00pm to 4:00pm and 7:00pm to 9:00pm at The Morrison Funeral Home, 86 Bartholdi Avenue, Butler, NJ. A mass will be held on Saturday 9:30am at Our Lady Of Magnificat RC Church, Kinnelon, NJ. Burial will follow at Our Lady of Magnificat Cemetery, also in Kinnelon.
