William J. Walters

William J. Walters, age 72, of Butler, NJ, passed away suddenly, Thursday, July 20, 2023, at his residence. Mr. Walters was born June 9, 1951, in New York, NY, the son of the late William P. Walters and living mother Patricia (Brady) Scalise.

Willie was a fourth generation stagehand following in the footsteps of his father William P. Walters, he was a 46-year member of Local One New York, NY and retired as Vice President. Willie worked throughout the jurisdiction, notably at the Richard Rogers Theater: a passionate union member and car enthusiast. He was most proud of his 1972 Oldsmobile “Baby Blue 442.” Willie was a friend to all and very proud of his large family.

He is survived by his beloved mother Patricia (Brady) Scalise, his loving siblings, Richard, David, Kristine, Kerry and Shawn and his adored nieces and nephews and many cousins.

Visitation hours will be Thursday, July 27, 2023, from 10am to 4pm at The Morrison Etheridge Funeral Home Inc., 86 Bartholdi Ave., Butler, N.J. A funeral service will be offered Thursday 3:00pm also at the funeral home. The final disposition will be private.
