William Joseph Shadwell

William Joseph Shadwell, age 92, of Kinnelon, died Saturday, December 29, 2018 at home surrounded by his family. Mr. Shadwell was born in Orange, NJ, the son of the late William Joseph and the late Rose (Esposito) Shadwell. He served in the Navy during World War II and worked as a math teacher and guidance counselor at Memorial high school in Cedar Grove, NJ. William was a longtime member of the Knights of Columbus in Butler. He is survived by his devoted wife of 62 years, Martha Joanne (Greco) Shadwell, his beloved children, William, Michael, Fr. Damian, Martha, Elizabeth, Fr. Steven, Marianne Russo, Christopher, Genevieve Dickenman, David, James, Peter and Daniel, thirty cherished grandchildren and seven adored great-grandchildren. Viewing hours will be held Wednesday from 2pm to 4pm and 6pm to 8pm at Our Lady of Magnificat RC Church, 2 Miller Road, Kinnelon, NJ. The funeral will be Thursday 11:00am also at Our Lady of Magnificat RC Church, Kinnelon where a Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated. Burial will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery, West Milford, NJ.
