Willis B. Landon

Willis B. Landon, age 93, passed away peacefully on October 13, 2015. He was born in Butler but raised in Pompton Lakes. Willis was a resident of butler for the last 60 years. He proudly served in the US Navy from 1942 to 1945. His Career was with E.I. DuPont in Pompton Lakes 1942 to 1983 as an AM machine operator and then foreman. Willis was a member of the Butler XYZ Club, John A. Dean American Legion Post #154 and faithful member of St. Anthony's RC Church. A special thank you to Brother John Quinn who visited him and offered palatial care. We extend our sincere gratitude to his caregiver Yvette Douglas who cared for him with compassion and patience and we are eternally grateful. Willis was predeceased by his devoted wife of 56 loving years Mary and his siblings, Burt, Eleanor, Joseph, Grace, and his parents Benjamin and Mary Wehrle Landon. Willis is survived by his beloved children, Susan and husband Bob Krill, William and wife Jean, Michael and wife Nancy and Kevin and wife Stacy. He has 11 cherished grandchildren, Kelly Krill Latona, Rob Kimberly Krill, Elizabeth Bailey, William Landon, Douglas and MacKenzie Landon, and Daniel, Sam, Riley and Annie Landon. He leaves 3 great grandchildren, Hailey and Pierce Latona and Baby Eli Bailey. He is also survived by his sister Marie Loyzelle and many nieces and nephews. Viewing hours will be Friday, October 16th, 2015 from 4:00 to 7:00pm at The Morrison Funeral Home, 86 Bartholdi Avenue, Butler, NJ. A funeral Mass will be held Saturday 10am at St. Anthony RC Church, Butler, NJ. Burial to follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Butler.
