Yael G Gonzalez

Yael G. Gonzalez, a beloved mother, sister, and grandmother, passed away peacefully on March 8, 2025, in Pompton Plains, NJ, surrounded by her cherished loved ones. Born on July 5, 1963, in Miami Beach, FL, she relocated to Butler, NJ in 2018, and carried the warmth of her sunny birthplace throughout her life.

Her family meant everything to her. Yael is survived by her loving children, Lazaro J. Gonzalez, Nina Caridad Gonzalez, and Brandon M. Gonzalez, whose lives she filled with love and guidance. Additionally, she was the proud grandmother of three beautiful grandchildren—Angelisa, Lilliana, and Donovan—who brought her immense joy and pride. Yael is also survived by her sister, Ana Cecilia Diaz, nieces, Analy, Isabel, and Michaela, nephew Julio, cousins and extended family and many friends who loved and cared for her. Her strength and resilience will be remembered by her family, encapsulating the essence of a woman who faced life's challenges with grace and love.

She joins her dearly departed mother, Caridad R. Diaz; father, Cesar Julio Diaz; and brother, Julio C. Diaz, in eternal rest, forever living in the hearts of those she left behind.

Visitation will be Sunday, March 16, 2025, from 3:00pm-6:00pm at the Morrison Etheridge Funeral Home, 86 Bartholdi Ave, Butler, NJ. A funeral service will take place at 5:30pm on Sunday also at the funeral home.
